Our story

Built from the inside of the justice system — not from outside it

Gemini Forensic Academy was born from a question Monique Cecil kept asking herself while working inside the legal system: why don’t young people — especially those who will one day interact with courts, law enforcement, and digital evidence — have access to the same frameworks that professionals use?

The academy didn’t start in a boardroom. It started in courtrooms, investigation files, fraud compliance reports, and clinical psychology research. Every course, every lab, every kit item is drawn from real investigative practice — not from a textbook written by someone who has never processed a crime scene or interviewed a subject under pressure.

We teach middle and high school students to audit reality — to gather without bias, evaluate with precision, manifest findings with clarity, and synthesize truth into something that holds under scrutiny. That’s not just forensic science. That’s a life skill.

The name Gemini reflects our foundational philosophy: truth is never found in just one place. It exists at the convergence of two disciplines — the Human Element (Psychology) and the Technical Evidence (Digital Auditing). Both are required. Neither is sufficient alone.

The Human Element — Psychology
Behavioral analysis, micro-expression science, forensic linguistics, cognitive bias, and the neurobiology of deception. The “why” behind every case.
Technical Evidence — Digital Auditing
Digital forensics, OSINT, metadata analysis, deepfake detection, chain of custody, and evidence synthesis. The “how” that builds an unbreakable case.
“Truth exists at the convergence of behavior and data. Gemini trains students to find it at both.”

What makes us different

This is not a summer enrichment program. This is a professional training academy.

There are hundreds of youth enrichment programs. There is exactly one forensic science academy for middle and high school students led by a licensed investigator and doctoral candidate with real casework experience. Here is what that difference looks like in practice.

Practitioner-built curriculum
Every module is drawn from real investigative practice — AML fraud cases, criminal investigations, court testimony, and clinical psychology research. Not adapted from an academic textbook.
The G.E.M.S. Method™
A proprietary 4-pillar forensic framework — Gather, Evaluate, Manifest, Synthesize — that structures every course and gives students a professional audit methodology they can apply far beyond the classroom.
Physical evidence kits
Students receive a professional-grade Evidence Locker shipped to their home. Inkless fingerprint pads, F.A.C.S. overlays, sealed case files, and the Truth Audit™ manual — tools used in real investigative work.
State curriculum alignment
Courses earn 0.5–1.0 elective credit. Aligned to Texas TEKS, Florida CPALMS, and Arizona CTE Standards — meaning students build their college application and transcript simultaneously.
ESA & ClassWallet approved
The only forensic science academy for K–12 students currently listed as an approved vendor on ClassWallet in Texas, Arizona, and Arkansas. Families can use existing ESA funds — no out-of-pocket cost required.
Neuro-inclusive design
Self-paced tracks built specifically for students with ADHD and Level 1 Autism — recognizing that the hyper-focus and pattern recognition those profiles provide are elite investigative assets, not liabilities.

Mission, vision & values

What we stand for

Three commitments that guide every course, every kit, and every student interaction.

Mission
Empower through evidence
To transform middle and high school students into critical thinkers who are digitally secure, situationally aware, and prepared for careers in law, psychology, and technology — using real investigative tools and real forensic science.
Vision
The next generation of truth-seekers
A generation of young adults who approach complex problems with evidence-based precision, ethical integrity, and the confidence that comes from having been trained — not just taught.
Values
Truth. Precision. Justice.
We teach the “Unbreakable Foundation” — a commitment to facts over assumptions, evidence over intuition, and the ethical responsibility that comes with knowing how to build an airtight case.
